TSM To Carry Out Preparatory Works for Aksai Bypass on M-4 Don Highway

TransStroiMekhanizatsiya LLC (TSM), a member of the Mostotrest Group, won the public one-stage tender for the right to conclude a contract for preparatory works on the km 1,036 – km 1,072 km section (the Aksai Bypass) of the M-4 «Don» Highway in the Rostov Region.

According to the agreement, TSM will carry out the works constituting the fourth stage of the reconstruction project with subsequent toll-based operation of the km 1,024 km 1,091 section of the M4 Don Highway (Moscow Novorossiysk via Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar). The stage includes preparation of the site for the construction of M-4 Don Highway km 1,036+823 - km 1,072+321 section (Novocherkassk, Aksai District, Rostov Region). As part of the project, TSM will rearrange communication networks (75.34 km), gas distribution networks (3,367 m), gas supply mains (9,759.2 m), 0.4 kW 110 kW power transmission lines (12,080 m), 220 kW - 330 kW power transmission lines (6,163 m), as well as dismantle various buildings and structures (60 units). The list of works also includes development of project documentation and cadastral surveying.

The project customer is the Avtodor State Company. The TSM bid was RUB4.794 billion against the initially announced contract price of RUB4.994 billion. The execution deadline is 26 months from the contract date.

The project is part of the Russian Highways SC Activity Program for the Period 2010 - 2020.

Construction of the new section of M-4 Don Federal Highway aims to eliminate the mismatch between technical characteristics of the existing highway and actual traffic intensity. In addition, the existing route passes through residential settlements, increasing accident rates and concentration of vehicles, and adversely affecting the environment and human health.
