TSM to build Bobrov bypass
TransStroyMekhanizatsiya (TSM), a Mostotrest PJSC subsidiary, will build the Southeast Bobrov Bypass in the Bobrov Municipal District of the Voronezh Region. TSM was awarded the contract as the winner of the corresponding e-auction. The project customer is the Voronezh Region Transport and Road Department. The contract amount is RUB5.1 billion (including VAT). The deadline for completion is October 2021.
As part of the contract, TSM will build a new two-lane Category 2 road with a length of 9.4 km, a bridge across the Bityug River with a length of 237.55 m (at km 3 km of the new road), two overpasses (at km 2 and km 9 of the road), as well as rearrange utility, telecommunication and power transmission lines, water supply networks and surface gas pipelines, build a cattle passageway with a length of 29.10 linear meters (at km 6 of the road), install noise screens, barrier fences and road signs, and make road surface markings.
January 22nd and Avdeev streets, Bobrov's main transport arteries, are currently saturated, especially in summer, due to heavy transit traffic. High traffic intensity leads to rapid road surface deterioration and air pollution, while associated vibration afflicts nearby buildings and their occupants. A steep uphill climb under the existing railway bridge is challenging for some trucks, which creates additional congestion. The new road will take heavy traffic out of central Bobrov, improve the town’s overall transport situation and help preserve its historical part.
The project will be implemented within the framework of the Voronezh Region Government Program «Transport System Development» (Subprogram «Development of the Voronezh Region Road Sector»).
TSM currently has deployed capacity in the Voronezh region, where the company is building the four-lane Losevo and Pavlovsk Bypass at km 633 – km 715 of the M-4 «Don» Highway. Earlier, in November 2013, the company completed construction of the Northeast Voronezh Bypass (km 492 – km 517), and, in November 2016, the Novaya Usman and Rogachevka Bypass (km 517 – km 544).
