Corporation Engtransstroy to build junction on M-5 Ural federal motorway

Corporation Engtransstroy has signed a government contract after submitting a winning bid to build a junction on a planned section of the M-5 Ural federal motorway leading from the Smaller Moscow Ring Road to the village of Ulyanino. The Federal State Institution Federal Division of Motorways ‘Central Russia’ of the Federal Road Agency (FGU Tsentravtomagistral) is the contracting party.

As part of the contract, the Corporation will build an overpass, mount 12 km of railings, install lampposts along a 4.7 km stretch of the road, and lay 286 metres of culverts. 560,000 cubic metres of earth will need to be removed, including 60,000 cubic metres from excavation and 510,000 cubic metres of earth mounds. The work includes laying 220,000 cubic metres of sand foundation and 62,000 cubic metres of asphaltic concrete as well as sowing grass on 15 hectares of adjoining land.

The value of the contract is RUB 1.095 billion (including VAT). The contract sets 20 November 2011, as the deadline for the construction.
