Inzhtransstroy opens up two sections of the M-4 Don federal motorway

A new section of the M-4 Don federal motorway bypassing the town of Yefremov in the Tula region opened up on 25 November 2010. Construction on the four-lane, 1B grade, 27 km-long asphalt motorway started in June 2007. The project involved building 22 road structures, including four two-level off-ramps. The motorway is designed to accommodate a speed of 120 kmh. A traffic police checkpoint and a road repair shop have been built along the stretch.

Corporation Inzhtransstroy completed reconstructing and building a 50 km-long section of the M-4 Don motorway from the beginning of a bypass around the town of Zadonsk through to the end of a bypass around the village of Khlevnoe in the Lipetsk region nine months ahead of schedule. The work started in November 2008 and ended in December 2010. As part of the project, the whole section was paved with asphalt, a junction with an overpass was built at the 461st kilometre of the motorway, 15 overpasses and four bridges were repaired. S

ince the original plan was to make this motorway section a toll road, toll booths were built at the 461st kilometre and the 460th kilometre. The section opened for toll traffic on 6 December.

Corporation Inzhtransstroy has built or reconstructed a total of 150 kilometres of road in 2010.
