Ufa Airport, phases 1 and 2
Phase 1 (2015)
  • upgrade of Runway 2 by replacing pavement slabs;
  • reconstruction of the existing apron to accommodate target aircraft types, and construction of a new apron (including lighting and aircraft maintenance installations and de-icing platforms);
  • expansion of safety shoulders and bringing them into compliance with ICAO standards;
  • construction of a new connecting taxiway between Runway 1 and Runway 2;
  • modernization of taxiway lighting installations;
  • rebuilding of the drainage system;
  • building of surface runoff treatment facilities;
  • upgrade of the airport’s power supply system and internal road network, including the patrol road.
Phase 2 (2016)
    The project envisions large-scale reconstruction of the airport complex planar structures, including Runway 2, the apron, ground areas of the radio localizer and the rainwater drainage network. Company also replaced lighting equipment, power supply networks, two transformer substations, the central distribution substation, runway control tower, diesel power plant, as well as built an access road to the nearer locator beacon, and communication networks. Upon completion of Phase 2, the airport  can receive wide-body aircraft, which will significantly increase its throughput capacity.
